Procap
Privacy policy
Updated 13 October 2026
Procap is an independent product based in India (“Procap”, “we”, “us”). This policy covers procap.app: this website and its waitlist. The Procap app will have its own privacy policy, which you’ll see before you can use it.
One thing to know ahead of it: the app will let you share a video to LinkedIn. That only happens when you press Share, and the video and the text you write are then sent to LinkedIn and posted publicly on your profile. The app’s policy will explain this in full.
- When you join the waitlist we keep your email address, the date you joined and, if your link had one, a source tag such as
?ref=linkedin. If you add them, we also keep your name, your role, where you work or study, and whether you’re a student. Nothing else. - We use your email only to tell you about early access and news about Procap. Unsubscribe or ask to be removed at any time.
- No cookies, analytics, ads or trackers. We never sell your email or share it for anyone else’s marketing.
What we collect
- When you join the waitlist: your email address, your name, your role (designer, developer, founder, product or other), whether you’re a student, the company or school you’re at and your LinkedIn profile link, if you give them, the date and time you joined, and the source tag from the link you used, if it had one (for example
?ref=linkedin). The tag tells us which post or page brought you here. You need to give your email, name, role and student status to join; the company or school and the LinkedIn link are up to you. Nothing is saved until you finish both steps of the form. - When you visit: we store nothing about you. To stop the form being flooded, your IP address is checked against a limit of five form submissions a minute. That check happens in memory, lasts about a minute and is never saved. Our host, Cloudflare, handles every request to deliver the site and protect it from attacks (see Who handles your data).
- When you email us: your message and your email address.
This site doesn’t use cookies, browser storage, analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or fonts from other companies.
Why we use it
- To tell you when early access opens and invite you to try Procap.
- To send occasional news about Procap, such as new features.
- To plan early access with your details: we invite people in batches, by role (your LinkedIn profile, if you add it, helps us understand what you work on), and use your student status for any offer for students. We also use your name to greet you in our emails.
- To count which links bring people to the waitlist, using the source tag.
- To answer you when you write to us.
We don’t use your email or details for anything else, we never sell them, and we never share them with anyone for their own marketing.
We rely on your consent, which you give by joining the waitlist for these purposes (under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and, if you’re in the EU or UK, Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it: reply to any of our emails, use the unsubscribe link in a news email, or write to hello@procap.app.
The emails we send
- Right after you join: one email confirming your sign-up and what happens next. If you didn’t sign up, reply to it and we’ll delete the sign-up.
- When it’s your turn: your early-access invite, with how to sign in.
- Later, now and then: news about Procap, such as new features or the public launch. Every news email includes an unsubscribe link.
All our emails come from hello@procap.app and say they’re from Procap.
How long we keep it
- We keep your sign-up until you leave the list or the waitlist ends, whichever comes first. The waitlist ends when Procap opens to everyone, or if we stop working on it. We then delete the list within 30 days.
- If you unsubscribe or ask to be removed, we delete your sign-up within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
- Emails you send us are kept only as long as we need them to help you.
Who handles your data
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website, stores the waitlist in its database and forwards email sent to hello@procap.app. Cloudflare processes this data only on our instructions, under its data processing agreement.
- Google (Gmail) holds the emails you send to hello@procap.app in our inbox.
- Loops (Loops.so, Inc.) sends our emails. For each email it receives your email address and first name, and keeps a record of the emails sent to you. Our waitlist itself stays with Cloudflare.
Nobody else gets your data. Cloudflare, Google and Loops run servers in many countries, so your data may be stored or processed outside your own country, including outside India and the EU. Where the GDPR applies, those transfers are covered by the safeguards in their data processing agreements, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
- Access: ask what we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to fix your email address or your details.
- Deletion: ask us to remove you from the list.
- Withdraw consent: unsubscribe at any time. This doesn’t affect anything we did before you withdrew.
- Nominate someone (India): name a person to exercise these rights for you if you die or can’t act yourself.
- In the EU or UK, you can also ask for a copy of your data in a portable format, and object to or restrict how we use it.
To use any of these, email hello@procap.app from the address you signed up with. We may ask you to confirm that the address is yours. We’ll reply within 7 days and act within 30 days.
Complaints
If you have a concern about your data, write to hello@procap.app with “Privacy” in the subject. A person, not a bot, reads and answers every request. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India or, in the EU or UK, to your local data protection authority.
Children
The waitlist is for people aged 18 or over. If you’re under 18, please don’t join. If we learn that someone under 18 has joined, we’ll delete their sign-up.
Keeping it safe
The site only works over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The waitlist is kept in a private database that only we can reach, and the accounts that run Procap are protected with two-factor sign-in. No system is perfectly secure: if a breach ever affects your data, we’ll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email, we’ll email you before it takes effect, and ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
